From August 9th to 12th, 2012, Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, will be hosting its second annual Wojtyla Summer Institute. Heading into the Year of Faith proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI, the focus of this year’s institute will be to consider how his call for the New Evangelization can be realized in Catholic schools. From school boards and communities across Ontario, Catholic teachers will gather for seminars, fellowship and relaxation at OLSWA in Ontario’s beautiful cottage country. 

The institute seminars will focus on key topics from The Catechism of the Catholic Church. Sessions will also include formation of teachers, the integration of the Catholic Faith into the curriculum, and the importance of teaching Logic, Philosophy and Critical Thinking to students.  Speakers will include author and artist Michael O’Brien, and OLSWA’s own esteemed faculty. 

Teachers are invited to register as individuals, groups or to bring the whole family. OLSWA’s beautiful campus overlooks Lake Kamaniskeg, and during the weekend there will also be ample opportunity to enjoy social activities and fun with the family while delighting in the scenery of the Madawaska Valley.
