Although the Academy is only 10 years old, the OLSWA community has already closely experienced the mystery of life and death. Three members of our community were called home to God at a time that some might call “premature”—Paul Sanders and Janine Lieu, the founders of OLSWA’s pro-life club, were first-year students when they were involved in a fatal car accident in February 2008. Shortly thereafter, Dr. David Warner, our first president, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, to which he succumbed in May 2010.
