Although the Academy is only 10 years old, the OLSWA community has already closely experienced the mystery of life and death. Three members of our community were called home to God at a time that some might call “premature”—Paul Sanders and Janine Lieu, the founders of OLSWA’s pro-life club, were first-year students when they were involved in a fatal car accident in February 2008. Shortly thereafter, Dr. David Warner, our first president, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, to which he succumbed in May 2010. While these events left the Academy community in mourning, the remarkable faith, perseverance and witness of these three remain with us today as signs of hope. It is with this hope, and with joy and fondness that we celebrate the lives of these individuals. Requiescant in pace.
Posted below are some of the articles relating to Paul Sanders, Janine Lieu, and Dr. David Warner.
