The Fourth Annual American Thanksgiving Dinner in honour of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas was held on the actual date of American Thanksgiving (the fourth Thursday of November for all the Canucks out there).
The yearly event has become a much-anticipated celebration, made possible by the generosity of Ted and Maria Ferrant and their entire family. We cannot thank them enough. From the huge turkeys they provided and a ‘cornucopia’ of other goodies, to their priceless gift of time and energy in coordinating the event, they were phenomenal! A very hearty 'thank you' to everyone who helped make this evening a success, particularly to 3rd-year student, Becca Mombourquette, who 'called' for the Ceilidh (Celtic Dance). A new, lively dance experience for many, it was tremendous fun. Our visitors were especially impressed by the exuberance of our students and they look forward to OLSWA’s growing influence on the cultural life of the Valley. We extend our gratitude for the funds raised and for the encouragement expressed. Thanks to all for an entire night of great food, music, and company!

I cannot adequately express what an exceptional school OLSWA is, and how blessed Canada is to have such a place! I also cannot thank God enough for leading me there...
