I cannot adequately express what an exceptional school OLSWA is, and how blessed Canada is to have such a place! I also cannot thank God enough for leading me there...

On Saturday evening, Oct. 13th, Angelina Steenstra, distinguished pro-life speaker, addressed OLSWA’s young women. In her heartfelt talk, “From Darkness to Light,” Angelina shared her testimony of her personal struggle and journey to healing. The ladies were profoundly moved by her witness. Angelina also reflected on the beauty and goodness of femininity and on a woman’s call to bear life—to be fruitful both physically and spiritually. It was asked what OLSWA can do to help the pro-life cause, and how to respond to the many persons suffering the aftermath of abortion. Angelina responded that, first and foremost, we must pray and fast, and ask for God’s mercy. Involved in post-abortion healing outreach for over 20 years, Angelina and her husband co-founded Second Chance Ministry, along with Fr. Vince Heffernan, SFM. In 2004, Angelina bravely brought to Canada the Silent No More Awareness Campaign—an effort to make the public more aware of the devastation abortion brings to women, men, their families and friends. Angelina has presented her testimony at such venues as the March for Life, EWTN, Salt & Light Television, and numerous conferences. |
