Presently the Academy offers four certificates:
Certificate of Christian Humanities
General Certificate of Christian Humanities

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
CERTIFICATE OF CHRISTIAN HUMANITIES
Requirements:
Fulfill the core, distribution, and language requirements.
Complete the requirements for a concentration according to the specifications of the respective discipline.
Earn a minimum of 96 credit hours from the core, concentration, distribution, language, and elective courses.
Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 63.0 (at least 90 credits must be taken for a letter grade).
File an application for certificate with the Registrar at least one semester before graduation.
Transfer students must earn a minimum of 36 credits at OLSWA.
Length of study must not exceed seven years.

One credit in music
One credit in a survey of the fine arts. Satisfied by either LAS 091 Introduction to the Fine Arts or LAS 111 Catholicism and the Arts
Three additional credits in literature. Satisfied by either LIT 141 Introduction to Classical Literature or LIT 322 Shakespeare or LIT 351 Dante
Three additional credits in history. Satisfied by either HIS 132: Classical History or HIS 240: North American Civilization
Three credits in math
Six additional credits in science with a lab
Additional Elective Credits Required: 24
For the Certificate of Christian Humanities (the three-year certificate), Concentration Requirements also apply.
GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF CHRISTIAN HUMANITIES
Requirements:
Fulfill the core, distribution, and language requirements.
Successfully complete a 300-level course in each of the following subjects: History, Literature, Philosophy, and Theology.
Earn a minimum of 96 credit hours from the core, concentration, distribution, language, and elective courses.
Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 63.0 (at least 90 credits must be taken for a letter grade).
File an application for certificate with the Registrar at least one semester before graduation.
Transfer students must earn a minimum of 37 credits at OLSWA.
Length of study must not exceed seven years.

Requirements:

Earn a minimum of 64 credit hours from the core, distribution, language, and elective courses.
Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 63.0 (at least 60 credits must be taken for a letter grade).
File an application for certificate with the Registrar at least one semester before graduation.
Transfer students must earn a minimum of 32 credits at OLSWA.
Length of study must not exceed six years.

BASIC CERTIFICATE OF CHRISTIAN HUMANITIES
Requirements:

Earn a minimum of 32 credit hours from the core, distribution, language, and elective courses.
Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 63.0 (at least 30 credits must be taken for a letter grade).
File an application for certificate with the Registrar at least one semester before graduation.
Transfer students must earn a minimum of 24 credits at OLSWA.
Length of study must not exceed five years.
